Coulsdon is an important district centre in the south of the borough of Croydon. Situated on the North Downs, a stones throw from the unspoilt countryside landscape of Farthing Downs and Happy Valley, the centre is a significant employment hub, with a diverse range of high street shops and services.
The town has grown from a small village that serviced the road and rail routes passing through the hills to the south, to a suburban centre on the outskirts of London.
